Replication processes have taken on signal importance for the application- and market- oriented production of micro- and nanocomponents. The Micro Engineering has developed a range of hot embossing systems for the highly precise molding of micro- and nanostructures in polymers and other materials. Hot embossing is a fast, flexible and economical method that enables the use of low-cost tools and opens up to a whole variety of manufacturable materials.

We have also pioneered the field of developing microsystem technology instrumentation. The Micro Engineering has devised the first commercially available scanner for deep X-ray lithography (LIGA-technique) and is successfully selling this equipment on the global market. This product branch is further complemented by x- ray monochromators which are deployed at synchrotrons worldwide.
